So, I thought I'd do the honor of introducing you all to the incredibly charming, vivacious, and quirky miss Ashley Brooks of Made Up in a one on one interview with the lady behind the make up.
And this is a picture of Miss Up. :)
Check it out:
CB - When did you become a makeup artist? How did you know this was the profession for you?
A - I became a makeup artist 6 years ago. I knew this was the profession for me because I've always loved makeup and I've always been good at it. So here I am, haha!
CB - What's the best part about your job?
A - Making someone feel beautiful beyond words and they send me messages about how they can't stop looking at how gorgeous they are. I love that! Making someone's special day extra special is what it's all about.
CB - What are some make up products you cannot live without?
A - Tough question, but everyone knows I love my eyeliner! Therefore, my favorite eyeliner, believe it or not... is Almay eyeliner products.
CB - What has been the biggest challenge in your career?
A- I would say putting myself out there. You don't know if you are going to make it or break it. That part of throwing yourself out there is always the scariest part for anyone.
CB - Lastly, what do you feel is the #1 makeup tip ALL women could benefit from?
A - There are a lot of makeup tips I could recommend, but my #1 must for everyone is to wash your face every night! Skin regimens help your skin so much, and they also help your makeup to look better on.
Bonus tip: Eyebrows frame your face. Make sure you have them professionally done at least once in your life to get your shape corrected. If your eyebrows are sparse, an easy way to fill them is to get a taupe colored eye shadow, and a wedged tiny brush (stocky bristles). You can apply it to your eyebrows as they are shaped! BOOM! Gorgeous eyebrows!
Thank you Ashley for answering some questions and being a willing participate.
Hopefully those of you out there curious about the lady behind the name now have a little better understanding who this mysterious Miss Made Up is.
I'd also like to mention that many of the hair styles you see posted above {in Ashley's portrait and the bottom collage} were created by the equally fabulous Jessica Goodall. These two gals often work together on sessions, weddings, senior portraits, and boudoir. Definitely a dynamic duo.
Thank you both for your amazing talents.
