{It's been so long since I've described my experience with clients, but I am making a real effort to begin doing that again this year!}
Introducing Mr. & Mrs. Krieger
It was an absolute pleasure to photograph this wedding. Every time I photograph a wedding I become more and more in love with being a wedding photographer. This is no doubt that weddings are a lot of work and a lot of responsibility, but they're also a lot of fun! It really is a blessing to be a part of each couple's personal celebration and journey towards man & wife.
What I liked most about this wedding was : The people! Everyone in the wedding party was pleasant to work with, no one made a big deal out of portraits and allowed the ease of the picture taking process to go off without a hitch. Every wedding photographer knows that sometimes the portraits are not for everyone, but respecting the bride & groom who paid a good price for someone to photograph their day is what is most important when dealing with the portrait process. Not only were they respectful and cooperative, they had FUN with it and that's even better!
When my second shooter and I finished the creative portraits, she turned to me and said ''This is a really great wedding party!" & she was absolutely right, so kudos to EVERYONE involved in the portrait process for Jenna & Ben's day, you really made it so easy on us!
What I noticed the day of the wedding is that both Jenna & Ben seemed to be going on the 'whatever will be will be' philosophy. They seemed to just be enjoying the experience and not fretting over anything that may not have gone as planned. With weddings, this is the best attitude to have because occasionally things don't go as we plan them and we have two ways to respond: One is we can just remain positive and say 'At the end of the day, I'm getting married to the person I love!' and the other is to make a big deal out of something that cannot be changed and creating a sour memory from our wedding day. I much prefer the 'At the end of the day, I'm getting married to the person I love' route and I really feel like this particular couple embodied just that! I feel like this is a great way for every couple getting married to go about the day.
So with that!
"Whatever will be will be, the future's not ours to see. Que Sera Sera. What will be, will be."
