What is least important is whether or not your photographer went through another name change, what is most important is their quality of work. But you can just call me the P. Diddy of Photography, or the artist formally known as C.D.R. Photography formally known as Artistic Expressions by Crystal Ridley.
For those of you who are familiar to my 'indecisiveness', I am (once again) going through a transition. This transition however is permanent, and in my eyes necessary. I've composed a list of answers to forthcoming questions that I've assumed I'll be asked.
Q: Crystal, why are you changing the name of your photography business... AGAIN?!!??
A: First of all, I'm certain that many new business owners go through similar transition processes with their business. Because I am not yet established, other than 'word of mouth' and my popularity (although increasing) is still minimal I have decided that it would be best to take on my soon to be married name for my business.
Q: But why?
A: In order for me to keep the name 'C.D.R. Photography' which operates under the name 'Crystal Ridley', I would have to file under different names for items like taxes, insurance, bank accounts, etc. In order to keep the confusion minimal (and my sanity) I have decided to void 'C.D.R. Photography' and transition to 'Crystal Broussard Photography' which will operate under my married name Crystal Broussard.
Q: Is this necessary?
A: To me it is. It is still early enough in the game where I can make important decisions such as this without demolishing my career. Most importantly, I look forward to operating my business under this name and sharing the last name of my soon to be husband as well as my children in all aspects of my life.
I am confident that my supporters will follow me through this journey and that they will realize the level of importance this holds to me. I am still at the very beginning stages of building a career, it is most important that I make these transitions now rather than later.
Thanks,
Crystal
