Rosy was so kind to provide me with all the names of her wonderful family members, however in evidently instead of including all of their names in each title {for sake of not having enough room}I went with the title "a BIG family!" as I found it was the most fitting.
You ever have those moments when you mistakingly come to the conclusion that you are likely going to have a difficult time running the show in some environments because you feel as though you will be such an outsider that it will become awkward? Perhaps that is just me, because I'm slightly a bit of an 'over analyzer'. Well admittedly, I thought that going in to this session and I could not have been any more wrong.
First of all this family is warm and inviting, they make you feel very welcomed and glad to accomodate for you. It is very clear that family is important to them and they come off as very genuine good folks. They also made my job much easier as they all took direction well, listened and gave a collaborative effort to make these pictures happen. Typically with a large group picture chances of everyone paying attention are ... well simply VERY slim! I have to say they did an excellent job of staying focused and most of the time the distracted few were the little ones and the dog, which is perfectly normal - so I am pleased and I hope they are too.
It was a good experience for me as I do not deal with large groups often, I can only hope that every large group is as awesome as these guys were.
