The first time I photographed this family we had just found out that they were finally expecting {after several years} at that time we had no idea that there were three little ones in there and we were ALREADY planning maternity photos then, haha. THEN... not long after we found out that one Hoag baby was actually three Hoag babies and the ideas began on over drive.
Well around this time, I had been looking in to a charity that specializes in offering free portraits to families with infants in the NICU {Pictures of Hope Foundation} and asked the Hoag family if it would be okay for me to visit the babies in the NICU free of charge to see if this charity would be a good fit. And although they had already booked their maternity and newborn portraits, they said that I could.
Meeting the babies in this environment actually helped me see how strong and resilient these little beings are. It helped me feel much more at ease with the newborns I had that followed their session. In these photos the triplets are just 10 days old and it was amazing meeting them. They are all home now and seem to be doing wonderful. In fact, we'll be seeing them again real soon.
