These two families participated in Kisses for Keian, a charity put in place to raise money for a family in Vancouver with a five year old boy who has been diagnosed with a form of Luekemia. I am very happy to have been able to be a part of this charity. While we didn't raise a whole lot, we were able to contribute to the whopping $11,000 + donation amount. So it looks like Keian has many people on his side. :) We are over here thinking of him and his treatments and will continue to root for him on his journey.
People asked how I became a part of a charity so far away. First of all, I saw the post on a public forum and wanted to be a part.. but I also thought that no matter where I was in the world from this child, if I could help in any way... then why not do it? I am the mother to a beautiful, bright five year old boy myself and if anything happened to him... my world would come crashing down.
